The Challenge
TryScent’s entire pitch is a dare: smell identical to a $300 designer fragrance, pay a fraction of the price. That’s a hard sell on video. Nobody can smell an ad. The only thing standing between a scroll-past and a “buy now” is whether the video feels as premium as the fragrance it’s standing in for — and that had to hold true not just for one market, but across a European customer base with no single shared language.
What I built
Every ad started with the hook — the first 1-2 seconds, pulled from what was actually trending, built to stop the scroll before the sell even started. From there, I wrote the script, recorded the voiceover, and cut the story around it — client-shot b-roll blended with AI-generated supporting clips where real footage didn’t exist, paced to hold attention through to the offer.
The offer itself got the same craft as the story: custom-designed coupon graphics and ticket-style end cards, built to convert the “I’m interested” moment into an actual order.
Once an ad worked, the job wasn’t done — it had to work again in Swedish, German, French, Spanish, and Norwegian. Every one of those wasn’t a subtitle pass; it meant re-timed voiceover, re-paced cuts, and graphics adjusted so the message landed with the same punch in each market, not just a literal translation bolted onto the original edit.
The result
Over 200 videos produced for TryScent’s Meta ad account, running live across five languages and markets, as a continuous engine rather than one-off deliverables. The brand hit a new sales high on the back of them, and the relationship is still active — this isn’t a case study from a client who left, it’s one still buying.
What you’ll see below
A glimpse of the strongest performers — 5 to 10 of the highest-converting ads from the 200+, so you can judge the craft yourself instead of taking my word for it.
Need Ads That Sell Across Languages, Not Just Views?
TryScent needed video that worked as hard in Swedish as it did in English. If your brand's fighting for trust across more than one market, that's the kind of problem I go looking for.
